Has Brendan Rodgers lost it ? According to the BBC sport website Liverpool are in talks to sign Mario Balotelli. After all the problems over Luis Suarez I wouldn't have thought they'd be looking for more.

anneasquith - on the basis that Mr Balotelli has reached physical maturity, and is classed as an adult, it is reasonable to assume that his mental development is also completed.

So, although he appears to remain rooted in early adolescence on the basis of his reported behaviour on and off the field, there is little evidence to assume that he will suddenly feel the urge to act like an adult when his lucrative playing career, and the money it makes for those who tolerate is nonsense, is no longer available to him.
TWR: The Liverpool Supporters will sort out this clever sod.

How do you mean, they're gonna' strip down his car and leave it on bricks.
well andy. I admire you're ability to see into the future,,, some people do change their behaviour though.
Some folk do try to better themselves, anneasquith sadly though I can't see Brendan or LFC... doing what others have tried and failed with him.

It will be only a matter of time.
Mind you, someone very close to Liverpool famously once said 'you don't win anything with kids' - Balotelli would be a start...
Funny ol' game one of those 'kid' has replaced him on MOTD.
Probably a good signing.
Joking aside, he will either be a Torres in his first season at L'pool or Torres at Chelsea.

Like Paul Gascoigne?
Besty couldn't change either Andy.
andy. a cheap shot at PG .given his dire circumstances at the moment. :(
Anne, the issue here is has Gascoigne been able to change, the answer is clearly 'no'. Not a cheap shot, it's a fact.

Obviously being a Man United Supporter I hope for the latter, however it be good to see an interesting character like him in the Premier League again and how he's dealt with. I may need a few smiles yet. ;-)
Arksided - I wish him well, obvious talent but he has to fit into a tight structure with tight discipline. It may be a bridge too far for him, I'm not convinced.
I'm not convinced either Just might put a smile on my face. As apart from L'pool fans know he's gonna fluff up.

I haven't read the PG. part... too heartbreaking poor fella, I have seen the gaunt look about him.

Harry Redknapp say's he'd love to have Gaza coaching for him at QPR.

To think Redknapp was touted as England boss, says it all...
I like 'arry Redknapp, have done for years. I hope Paul Gascoigne takes him up on it.

Thanks TonyAV
