Every time she gets interviewed she makes out that swimming is the hardest sport ever. She seems to be a bit full of herself and I think that spending a while in her company would be rather irritating.
What do you think?

I think it's time she retired.
I wouldn't challenge her to a length !
Think I would be a bit full of it if I had just won a medal at the Olympics (imagine it kind of takes over your life).
I think she works damned hard and I admire anyone who is as committed as she is.
Isn't swimming unusual insofar as it is harder to see how your opponents are doing.......
Along with Paula Radcliffe tilly
I like her, she comes across as a lovely girl. I would be up myself too if I just won an Olympic medal! She trains incredibly hard and I think it would be a shame if she retired.
She's been under tremendous pressure to get gold and a 15yr old stunned the lot of them. I think she's entitled to say what she likes.
I think,as the host country,'our'athletes had been so hyped up by 'the media' as to how well they were all going to do,like other competitors were going to just let us win
She is an Olympic medallist. Reckon she should be full of herself. Don't let the bar stewards grind you down Becky !
> What do you think?

I think she'd make a better motivational speaker than you ...
What sport did you win your Olympic medals in, Arti?
^^ Good question.
I don't think that is in the Olympics yet chuck ...
Hey Arti - and spending a while with this would definitely be irritating

No I don't think she's irritating. Irritating is being a "celebrity" for doing nowt. RA works hard and is dedicated to her sport and won a Bronze medal for us today. We should be proud of her, not knocking her.

And Paula Radcliffe is the current world record holder for the women`s marathon which she set at the 2003 London Marathon. She is also the current world record holder for the women`s road 10 km which she set in 2003 in Puerto Rico. Just look how long those records have stood. Why should she retire - let her decide herself when she's ready.
I thought she accepted the defeat very well.
What defeat M-T? She is a winner of a medal
I don't find her irritating. She's an Olympic medalist! I'm somewhat bemused as to why some athletes are disappointed at not getting gold when they have achieved silver or bronze!!!! 3rd best in the World isn't bad is it???? Plus...swimming IS hard, but then so is athletics, cycling, etc. etc.....I guess she can be allowed a little "big headedness" lol
The more I watch her swim the more I admire her.
