Is someone's golf handicap reassessed after a layoff ?

I have been unable to play golf for a few years but hope to return soon. Is my handicap likely to be set to the same level as when I left or is it re-assessed?

If you haven't carried on as a full paying member even though you haven't played then you have to be re-assessed. Full details visit the Congu site which gives you all the rules and regulations. Think its on Page 46 or 49
Depends how long the lay off is. You must submit at least 3 scores from qualifying rounds in the 12 months from 1st January to 31st December. If not, your handicap becomes inactive.
