Andy murrays mum seems to be at every match he plays, unless she has a valid reason, say in his fitness regime, or is his manager, but im not sure i would care to have my mum there all the time.

I always think of Marlon in Emerdale when I see A Murray, but it is a yes from me, I think having a parent there for support is good, after all it would be the parents who encouraged and helped him to be where he's at today

in order that this isn't a never ending thread, i do, that is my opinon, yours is different. please can we just leave it at that.
I'd find it more strange if his family *wasn't* there. Surely most parents would want to be there to support their child?
i don;t see the problem, she is his mum why would she not want to support her son

weirdo :-)
em10?
I thought this was a topic to debate
okay, you have said your opinion, I have said mine, I queried why you think its strange, I thought that was the purpose of debating..?
Well I am going to comment em10 anyway. I would be there if he were my son, even though I can't stand tennis. And my son probably would be embarrassed about me whooping and shouting!!
As per cazz really. I can't see the problem in any of us giving our opinions em10. Noone has said you are wrong and they are right surely.
Apologies em10. I didn't realise we were only supposed to answer if we agreed with you. So yes, it is strange. Very strange indeed. What kind of mother would want to be there to watch her son playing such an important match. You are so right... what a freaky family! ;)
Question Author
debate is good, but i have made my point, statement, others have their views but sometimes it seems to go on too long.
then why start the thread..? ;)
This can happen em10, people are putting forward their opinion , that's all
I would not like a murrays mother watching me as if I say it my self has pety nifty footwork on the old tennis court. My best return was a day trip bus return to Cleethorpes .
Again, as per Cazz. I don't understand really em10 where you are coming from.

If I put my opinion on an OP then I am happy for debate to go on as long as possible as long as people aren't being rude. That is the point of a debate surely.
Question Author
cazz your point is correct.
Tim Henmans parents were always at his matches, I would say its only natural. If your son/daughter was a top sports person wouldnt you like to watch them?Plus Murrays mother is a top coach
She does seem to be at all his matches, which is surprising when you consider that she walked out on his father and left him to bring up Jamie and Andy...........
I did not know she left them
I thought it was the other way around and that was why you never see his father
You dont see any other tennis players mums at every match like she is. I think it is because he hasnt grown up yet.
Where do you get that information from Craft, she has been at all his and his brothers matches since they were 7 years old.
