He's the Jimmy white of motor sport and absolute legend but never quite manage to win the world title.

He would've been World Champion if he hadn't been number two to Fangio in the Mercedes team because in those days, if the the number one driver had engine problems or even crashed, the number two was called in and had to give up his car.
