Did Anyone Get The Pension Increase 8.5%

According to all the media etc the state pension was to increase by 8.2% this Month. I'm paid monthly, and today (9th April) had my usual payement and no increase whatsoever. According to the government blurb, all pensions due after the first Monday following 7th April will benefit.

My wife is paid hers weekly and she had her increase yesterday. Does anyone know if they pay a "month in hand"? Has anyone who is paid Monthly had an increase?

 I'd expect it next month based on what happens with salary and private pension increases, but hopefully someone who knows how state pension works can clarify.

Might be answering my own question. After browsing all over the place, found the following on the Times website and the third sentence seems to give the answer.....

"So while the 2024/25 tax year will start on Sunday 6 April 2024, the increase in the state pension will come through in people’s income from Monday 8 April.

Your first payment after this date will see an increase – but it’s based on how much of the previous 4 weeks was before April 6 and how much of it was after that date.

The full rise will be reflected in the first payment where the entire 4-week period was after April 6".

i recieved a letter from them teeling me my first payment will be around 50% of the full amount, May will see me receive the full amount

It starts at the start of the tax year, so I'd expect it to be adjusted next month. Also pensions are paid in arrears so the payment you just had was for the month preceeding your pay date.
