Glad to see he admitted the doping and blood transfusing straight from the off.
Question Author
Was a bit taken aback by it at first snags, but now I'm waiting for his justification for it.
Question Author
He's admitted to being a bully but says claims he could get other team members fired is not true. The USADA report says differently and that he pretty much had carte blanche, which I believe.
So far he's been surprisingly candid but I can't help but think even now he has ulterior motives.
Question Author
Same for me snags. So far about 90% for honesty but I don't think contrite is in his dictionary.
What caused his cancer in the first place? I take nothing away from the guy. He rode up those mountains, and he suffered the blisters and the pain.
OK so he cheated, but who supplied the drugs, who made the drugs, and who kept it quiet? Who made sure it was ALL kept quiet until it was the right time?
Question Author
It's here Dickythecook:

http://d3epuodzu3wuis.cloudfront.net/ReasonedDecision.pdf

It is well worth a read. It gives times, dates, places and the personnel involved.
The part about Dave Zabriskie's involvement is quite sad, around pages 111/112 if memory serves me correctly.
Ta ChillD, I will get to it asap. I am trying to feel sleepy but the bloody insomnia bug has bit me again but I must try have to be out and about at 7.30. Thanks for the link. Anybody got any spare chloroform?
Dicky: no one is suggesting that Armstrong was the only guilty party in all of this. To quote a previous post of mine on the subject:

''Whilst everyone else who was involved in doping kept an embarrassed silence, Armstrong continually protested (in the loudest voice) his innocence with such statements as 'as a cancer sufferer I would never put drugs in my body' etc. etc.

He systematically lied.

He had numerous opportunities to confess but decided not to.''

And now he has decided to confess because he wants USADA to allow him to compete as a Triathlete.
Question Author
Thus far, my feeling is he may just avoid jail time for perjury(provided he pays back winner fees, bonuses, lawsuit payouts etc) but can't help feeling his PR team have prepped him to the hilt for this.
Indeed. When is the Armstrong movie coming out?
Question Author
Changing tack now though, the UCI/Tour de Suisse story may be his banana skin here as he's claiming the UCI ASKED him for money, he did not make a voluntary donation.
That could prove crucial.
Question Author
There's going to be plenty of legs in this story yet. Why did the US Dept of Justice inexplicably drop their case against him with no explanation and the UCI will be facing some difficult questions.
Either LA still isn't being 100% truthful or someone at the UCI lied.
Question Author
And that's a wrap. Part 2 tomorrow.
''Indeed. When is the Armstrong movie coming out?''

Ha!

Question Author
I believe I read a month or two back that Matt Damon was being lined up to play him in a film, will look for a link now.
Question Author
Lots of analysis about what was said here. They're talking about a woman he sued and whom he confesses to calling "crazy". He actually called her a whoar and an alcoholic. The more I hear about him, the more I think he's actually a psychopath.
Sorry typo *****
