Oh! I wouldn't say that!!!
...are the oars used in the boat race for example all the same size and weight,or do they vary a bit with the size and strength of the rower.
I think they get them for free but to buy one would cost a great deal. A standard 2nd hand 8 would be in the region of £6K
Cambridge were in a Hudson eight (Canadian make of boat). List price of a new one is only available in Euros, and is 32,036. Oxford, I think were in an Empacher (German make of boat), who are a bit more cagey about their prices, but tend to be the most expensive make of boat around (the most commonly used boat you will see in international racing).

Just over £30,000 if you want a new one ... that without the blades though..!
I would not support this, as it condones prostitution, as a lot of "oars" are involved.
