T & S i couldn't agree more... in fact their 1st 3 games are
Birmingham home, Burnley away then Wigan away. & your telling me it's not fixed??????? My A@@E
What difference does it make?
Everybody's played everybody else twice by the end of the season.
typical A..B.U's! looks at man uniteds fixtures before there own!! closet reds!! bet you dont know youre own teams fixtures! lol theres no easy matches in the premiership. start paying more attention to your own clubs!
123 everton!! youre so right makes no difference at all! sour grapes if you ask me! everton had a great season. pity about fa cup final. i really wanted you to win!
There is always something fishy about the new Fixtures especially if they are supposedly randomly generated by Computer T&S !! How come there are never London, Manchester or Merseyside Derbies on the opening day of the Season ??
As 123 Everton says, we all play each other twice but that seems to be the only fair thing about it. Liverpool v Man Utd on opening day of Season or Celtic v Rangers as well !!!!
If the Draw is fair then fixtures such as this should happen at some stage but they do not. Computer on blink or blinkered Draw Managers ? LOL

The season hasn't even started and people are whinging already. 123Everton has got it right, all teams have to play 38 games before the end of the season. Its like teams who complain of fixture congestion. The season starts on August 15th and finishes on May 16th,and in this time every taem will play every other team twice. End of.

By the way............we8scousers.........You 8 scousers, but wanted Everton to win the FA Cup Final? .........Hmmmmmmm. Its more likely you should have called yourself we8liverpoolfc, no??

Fine thanks, Steve. One more night at work, then a week off. Might take in a bit of cricket if the weather is fine.

Sorry, T&S for hi-jacking your post :-)

It would appear that when Rafa had his "rant" and suggested Taggart arrange the fixtures so he wouldn't complain, the FA took his advice and let him!
While on the subject of the fixture list, I notice Chelsea are playing Man United twice, Liverpool twice and Arsenal once following European matches (provided we go that far!!). You wait until the "They play Wednesday and we play Tuesday, and they have got an evening kick-off and we have got to kick off at breakfast time, and they have got a home game and we have to travel back from the other side of the Ukraine" merchants start. Ha ha, can't wait!!
I seem to remember that the F.A employed somebody to avoid problems with major events other than football.
lilsecret !
Very interesting article but what a complicated process !!
Too many factors to consider therefore it cannot be agreeable to everyone no matter what, so we will again get Ferguson's Wardance at some stage during the Season !!!!
The whole process needs simplifying that is for sure.
Sky TV with their Football coverage is one of the main problems of concern because gone are the days when all matches kicked off at 3pm Saturdays. Today they play when Sky says so and that is dictatorial !
I preferred the old system when at the halfway point you got the return fixtures, no arguments in those days.
Why did they do away with it?
