His rant last night about West Ham's style of play is just another example of his complete hypocrisy! Did he expect West Ham to go there and play open, expansive football? Not under dinosaur Allardyce! And does he forget Chelsea's style when they went to Old Trafford early in the season and the Emirates earlier this month with the sole plan of getting a 0-0 draw. Good manager, foolish interviewee!

both
i agree - both
Well, as i consider myself a bit arrogant and deluded, they are personality characteristics that i rather admire.

He was frustrated in that his team had just under 40 attempts at goal and couldn't score.

it happens.
It's what he does........you hardly ever hear him criticize his team. Thirty-nine attempts at goal without scoring is quite something, yet still he will not have a pop at his troops, he'd rather (try to) deflect the attention away from them. West Ham were a disgrace, though. I've never, ever seen a team take so long over throw-ins, goal kicks, substitutions etc, but they need the points as much as Chelsea, so Allardyce can rightly say he got his tactics spot on.
I think it was a good result for West Ham - Chelsea should have scored more than Man City
wish man utd had played like that when they lost 3-1 lol,Chelsea had a boat load of chances should have took one!

Arrogant Or Deluded?

Both imo.
Is their 2 baldrics on answerbank , I've just seen a Baldric with a beard

If his critics have his track record and are on his money, I'll listen. Anybody?

He knows the game and the psychology of it.

FredPuli - Track Record maybe, but money? What's that got to do with anything? Does it allow people to spout utter nonsense? Don't think so. He just needs to learn a bit of humility and grace.
Can't wait to see what tactics he adopts on Monday night.
dave, money shows how he's valued. Plenty of owners would pay that much for his services. It amazes me that people are stupid enough to take what he says at face value, not that the opinion of a fan who pays maybe £60 for a seat is worth much against that of a bloke who does the job well, when what he says is carefully worded for an audience which does not include the fans.

But if you think he's a fool, or deluded, or arrogant, well , we are sure you are well positioned to judge him and his motives.
Question Author
What sort of a real man is he though? Poking an opposition manager in the eye? Lying about a referee, which leads to him getting death threats and then quitting. The man has no class at all, a bit like the team he finds himself in charge of!
He's very good looking though.
And all done for a purpose, dave. i want a manager to get the best from a team and ideally to win things. Didn't know that having the manners of an F.O. diplomat was part of that. If you want class and winning, you may have a long search; all managers, even the noblest, employ psychology and behaviour which is not gentlemanly.
Question Author
Oh well, if his behaviour is acceptable, I guess that's a sad reflection of where we are in football now. Win at all costs, whatever that entails.
I think he is both arrogant and deluded but he'll be in for a spanking on Monday.
Can I really be going to agree with you Dave?
I think I possibly might ;-))
It seems to be the trait with managers these days, Moyes, Pardew, just as bad.
