It says here that as it stands QPR will still get promoted but won't be champions. Surely they're top or am I missing something.

is there something about they may lose points cos of transfer dealings?
there are still 2 games to go which can = 6 points, so Norwich still have a chance(albeit a slim one) of being champions as they are 5 points behind. So if QPR lose their last 2 and Norwich win their last 2 Norwich would be champions.
Cardiff also have an even slimmer chance of being champions

Position Team P GD PTS

1 QPR 44 38 85
2 Norwich 44 24 80
3 Cardiff 44 25 79
HS - QPR are not mathematically promoted yet
QPR need 2 Pts to be Champions and 1 Pt to ensure Automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Their remaining Fixtures are
Away to Watford
Home to Leeds Utd
