downloading files

i have recently deleted old version of avg antivirus and tried to dwnload new free version it dwnloads for a while then get box come up saying site not known please try later but to no avail tried to dwn load lime wire aswell same reaction cant seem to dwnload anything can anyone help me mike clarke

Try this first.
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
Go to the Security section all the way at the bottom.
Clear the check on the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" (if it's ticked)
Close all Internet Explorer windows
Start Internet Explorer and download the file again
