This is asking me to set up arrangements to pay for the new paperless licence. My licence is not due until August 1st. I haven’t done anything. I rang the Licensing department, and the machine gave me lots of advice, but I still don’t know if this is genuine or not. I paid by Direct Debit last year, will check with my bank if the DD is still there. What do you folks think?

Do nothing, the TV licence is no big deal and if they do want money they'll soon revert to paper communication.
Question Author
I will check with the bank to make sure that the direct debit is there. It should be, in which case I don’t have to do anything, and then there was no need for them to send me that text
Just read this morning that there is a scam - will try and find it again though maybe not re your question.

Thanks hazlinny. Read your info. My licence is not due until august 1. So I wondered about this. I don’t intend to do anything

The address should be either [email protected] or [email protected]

How do you hover over the sender? I am on a laptop, only use my hands.

Bobbie. Bin the email . Click on nothing and forget it. It sounds very much like a scam.
