I joy elektra
Based upon a previous post from Netibiza, Hc4361, I think it's this phone:
http://www.i-joy.es/en/elektra-xl/

That page says that it takes a Micro SD card. If Netibiza hasn't already bought one (unless one came pre-supplied) she needs to get one a.s.a.p. in order to maximise the phone's storage capacity. They're often (usually?) supplied complete with an adapter to allow the card to be inserted into a standard SD card reader but, if not, adapters are really cheap:

Oops! Crossed posts ('cos I was googling things and opening wine while trying to compose my post at the same time). However my answer stands.

I have an SD card but my last phone appeared to damage it so didn't put it in. I still need to get the photos and music onto computer.
No usb cable to connect it to pc?

With my phone I have to transfer the pictures from its internal memory to the Micro SD card before I can get anywhere.

Then I can either choose to insert the card (via an adapter) into an SD card reader or plug the USB cable (that was supplied with the phone) into the appropriate socket on the phone and (fairly obviously) into a USB socket on my computer. Inserting that cable into the phone automatically produces some options, including one to treat the phone as an external drive. (Sorry, I can't remember the exact wording but yours would probably be different anyway, especially as it might be in Spanish!).

I really believe that inserting a Micro SD card should be the first thing to do (and then possibly seeking an option, from the phone's menu, to transfer files from the phone's internal memory to the card). Then things should get easier!
According to the website the phone has a micro usb port so get a cable if you don't have one - they are very cheap.
You could use an "app" such as Dropbox.
Download the app to your phone and register. Then download the program to your pc using the same registration details.
Your photos and music can then be synced between your phone and pc.
I was going to say Dropbox for the photos, couldn't be simpler.
Dropbox should, indeed, work with the phone's Android 4.1.2 operating system.

However I suggest that the first thing to try should be simply to plug in the USB lead that hopefully came with the phone. (Look on the phone's display to see if there's an option to switch the phone to a mode where it's regarded as an external drive). Go to 'Computer' on your PC/laptop and double-click on the icon for the additional drive. Then double-click on a relevant folder (such as 'Pictures', 'Videos' or 'Music') to view its contents. If you find what you want, open another window on your computer, showing the destination folder (such as 'My Pictures'). Then use the usual 'click-&-drag' process to copy files from the phone's memory (or that of its Micro SD card) across to the destination folder.

Update: Well it appears that I have managed to put all photos and music from android onto pc with usb cable, not simple, (nothing is simple on Windows 8!) but they are in dropbox, computer, playmemories, and picassa, just a awful lot of clicking and copying and pasting and I just hope they stay where they are.

Thank you all very much.
hurrah
