I had a spooky experience last night!

We live on the old site of a mental hospital (its nice really). A few ghostly going ons have occured previously and a clairvoyant told us we had a portal in the lounge after doing a home reading! We out our hands in the place and were met with an icy blast of air! So we do believe her.
Last night I was fast asleep when there was a loud scratching noise at the door. I nearly sh*t myself. When I turned the light on of course there was nothing there. Our daughter was asleep, the cat was out and is always locked downstairs anyway. So there's no explanation. All I can say is it was like someone had run their fingernails down the door making a noise that was loud enough to wake me! I was definitely not dreaming. what do you think?

Hi tigwig I'd like to hear more about your experiances.
I have done some invetigations as part of a team I used to belong to.
My first thought is possibly it is rodent related. As you point out it is an old building.
As you you have no dog and the cat was out we can rule them out.
Has you cat ever displayed any signs of sensing anything?
What else have you experianced/ I would love to hear it.

I did have a scary experiance in an empty house once whilst working there.

Some of the other trades at work had reported some strange noises and other stuff there and I was on my own there one day in the kitchen and there was a huge thud coming form upstairs like something being slammed down onto the floor.

I thought something had fallen over so went up and as it was an empty house there was nothing to fall over.

Went back down to work in the kitchen and about 15 minutes later there was this almighty great thud like somebody had picked up a huge weight and slammed it onto the floor and it was not next door or outside.

To this day I still wonder what it was.

don't knock it, we have a resident spirit (they object to the term ghosts) we have had the most eminent professors of psychology here to investigate the phenomina, and all have confirmed a presence, a lady as sweet as light, genteel and caring, I am in the process of writing a book about our spirit which will be prefaced by several witnesses from the academic world both in this country and abroad.
