Went into SpecSavers about an hour ago as my reading "lens" are scratched. I am happy with the frames so I didn't want to buy a new set of frames.
I asked for "reading lens and thinned ones" - For those lens she quoted me £99.
I asked if I bought them with new frames they would be £69. How can that be?

It's mostly a problem if they no longer stock the frame as the lenses may need to be a special order. If they are still selling that frame I would go back and suggest there is no reason to charge extra.
jj - being nosey, who/what are you wearing? When I chose my latest frames last month, I hadn't realised that I'd be wearing Cuthbert on my face for the forseeable... ;-)

There appears to be a special offer of thin lenses at the moment. They normally charge £55 on top of the cost of your frames. They always charge more to put new lenses into old frames
