..............I'm sure lots of people, at the same time, will also be thinking of family members who have passed away. And I'm also sure we're going to hear this piece of music at some stage. Wherever you are, remember. RIP.

That is lovely
i have been remembering Mr Em and my dear mother, who passed away just over 5 years ago. This piece will be played today by a lone piper i believe, so sad.......
I remember my people every day. Can’t say I’m a fan of bagpipes.

I suspect you'll hear a few today, Naomi. Thanks for the replies folks.
No doubt, clarion.
i love the bagpipes, seeing the pipe and drums marching down the street in Edinburgh, was a privilege.
Yes, I will be remembering my own darling Mum as well as the Queen. J.J. Chalmers spoke a few minutes ago and thanked the Queen and said 'your duty is done, rest easy'. That started me off and I'm still a bit weepy - it is definitely going to be one of those days.

Lovely music.
i am hoping i don't weep in the church, though it's been hard not to when seeing the children and grand children watching over her coffin at Westminster Hall.
I doubt you will be the only one em.
I think there are few who haven’t shed a tear.
Not everyone feels the need to shed a tear, doesn’t make them any less a person.
Lovely. Must admit I really don't like bagpipes either, but beautiful tune.

The minute I hear Nimrod today I shall be in bits. :0((
I haven't shed a tear yet. Never been a cryer. But I rarely do. Nimrod will do it.
I love the pipes, seriously cannot get enough of them
They are OK with marching for me Red, but anywhere else as an instrument I just can't stand them. Mull of Kintyre really is one of my most disliked records ever.
I don’t mind them with the matching bands, lottie. I love the tradition of it all.
*marching* bands
I don't mind a bit of piping...such a mournful sound. Tugs at heartstrings.

I recall this being played by a lone piper recently...was it Prince Philip's funeral?
Didn't know it was today.
which Planet have you been living on recently?
