Naomi has stated that she has a local (female) vicar as a friend.
I have said that I have a retired Pastor as a very good friend and other evangelicals as friends.

Do other atheists/non-believers have religious friends and if you do, do discussions with them go the way of AB discussions?
Or are they more friendly?

Although I must admit if someone says they will pray for me I don't like it. They can pray if they want, but I don't want them to tell me.
Ag, // I had me own little phase a few years ago when I prayed for lots of answers to me problems.Never did me any gud so wot chance will anyone else have?//

As far as I'm concerned, none. However- having people on your side who support you... no matter what their methods are... are clearly going to be good for you x
I have a good friend who's a devout believer. She often says that she prays for me (when the black dog takes over, which does still happen sometimes). I appreciate the sentiment, even though she knows I'm agnostic. It's nice to know that somebody cares.
i don't discuss religion with anyone, my friends husband is ordained and i wouldn't dream of bring up the subject, as a total non believer i couldn't countenance it
Yes I have a couple of religious friends and have had a few run ins with them but we now don`t talk about it and it`s a lot better that way :)
Have a few, my oldest friends is a born again christian, he knows I can't make the jump to understand where he is coming from. Most of my circle believe in some God or another, the rest are on some other spiritual path. What connects us is far greater than the differences of faith.
We have a number of close friends who are deeply religious but, as non-believers ourselves, we never discuss religion as there's no point. We value them all as friends and religion is irrelevant to the relationship.
I’ve a friend who’s a rangers supporter, he claims to be a Protestant atheist.
Aye, I laughed too
I have lots of friends who are religious. Sometimes we discuss religion sometimes we don't. Depends on the situation. We have had a couple of deaths recently so had to attend the funerals via video link. It was good to see old friends we hadn't seen for a while so being a funeral, it did end up with a couple of scriptural discussions.
