Why would you be banned for making any of those statements?
Who has banned you, nailit? All these are perfectly reasonable expressions of disbelief, if a little strongly phrased.
I'll ban you for yet another religion themed question:-}
(1) appears to be correct.

(2) definitely isn't. While the Q'ran might call for the death of those of who convert away from Islam, it respects the rights of those who already believe in other faiths. ("To you be your way and to me mine." [Quran 109:1-6]).

(3) seems OK to me.

(4) needs to be modified to read "Both Christians and Jews nominally believe in the Ten Commandments but, in practice, most only do lip service to them".
Here's one for you nailit....

Wilson's Nails

Wilson runs a nail factory and decides his business needs a bit of advertising. He has a chat with a friend who works in marketing and he offers to make a TV ad for Wilson's Nails.

"Give me a week," says the friend, "and I'll be back with a tape."

A week goes by and the marketing executive comes to see Wilson. He puts a cassette in the video and presses play. A Roman soldier is busy nailing Jesus to the cross. He turns to face the camera and says with a grin "Use Wilson's Nails, they'll hold anything."

Wilson goes mad shouting: "What is the matter with you? They'll never show that on TV. Give it another try, but no more Romans crucifying Jesus!"

Another week goes by and the marketing man comes back to see Wilson with another tape. He puts it in the machine and hits play. This time the camera pans out from a Roman standing with his arms folded to show Jesus on the cross. The Roman looks up at him and says 'Wilson's Nails, they'll hold anything'.

Wilson is beside himself. "You don't understand: I don't want anything with Jesus on the cross! Now listen, I'll give you one last chance. Come back in a week with an advertisement that I can broadcast."

A week passes and Wilson waits impatiently. The marketing executive arrives and puts on the new video. A naked man with long hair, gasping for breath, is running across a field. About a dozen Roman soldiers come over the hill, hot on his trail. One of them turns to camera and says 'If only we had used Wilson's Nails!'.
..or 5...he is NOT the messiah..he's a verrry naughty boy..now...clear orft !!!
Buenchico, (2) definitely isn't. You need to read on.
-- answer removed --
Buenchico - Quran does not call for the death of those who convert away from Islam. Not at all.
Weasel words, Keyplus. No change there.
nailit: difficult for me to express this. You are obviously searching for a dimension to your life which is not wholly material. Naturally, you look at the wording of various religions. This is not always the answer. I earnestly advise you to look for a group of people who are worse off than yourself (perhaps they are homeless, you will find them) and work to help them. Through that you may find satisfaction with life and I will pray (if you will allow me to) that you will find your salvation. The 'G' word is always difficult.

I sincerely believe that if you are open to God S/He/It will find you. :)
jourdain2, // You are obviously searching for a dimension to your life which is not wholly material.//

'Obviously'? It isn't obvious to me. Why do you say that?

“God’s curse be upon the infidels! Evil is that for which they have bartered away their souls. To deny God’s own revelation, grudging that He should reveal His bounty to whom He chooses from among His servants! They have incurred God’s most inexorable wrath. An ignominious punishment awaits the unbelievers.” Quran 2:89-2:90

“Lord…Give us victory over the unbelievers.” Quran 2:286

“Lord…give us victory over the unbelievers.” Quran 3:147

“I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers.” Quran 8:12

“Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not the power so to do. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of Allah and your enemy…” Quran 8:59-60

“When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them.” Quran 9:5

“Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate.” Quran 9:73

NAOMI,BECAUSE HE POSTS SO OFTEN ON THE TOPIC.

Naomi, because he posts so often on the topic.
^^^ Sorry, hit caps. lock by mistake!
jourdain2, there are quite a few who post often on the topic, including me, but that doesn’t mean I’m searching for something – simply that, for a variety of reasons, I find the subject interesting.

As for this: // I earnestly advise you to look for a group of people who are worse off than yourself//, you may be surprised to learn that when talking to some of the atheists here you are preaching to the converted. I’d hazard a guess that many of them could teach you a thing or two about charity and compassion.
I'm sure some of them could, Naomi. I was only trying to help - I really don't preach to people, sorry if it came over like that. :(

jourdain2, you didn't come across as 'preaching'. 'Preaching to the converted' is just an expression meaning the people you're advising are already aware. You did, however, come across as rather patronising. It's a mistake to assume that because someone isn't religious they aren't acutely aware of other people's problems. The vast majority of major charities in the world are secular, including Oxfam and the Red Cross.
Any comments on the quotations from mushroom 25, keyplus90?
In warning true Christians there not to base their worship simply on what was popular, Paul wrote: “For the speech about the torture stake is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is God’s power. For it is written: ‘I will make the wisdom of the wise men perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual men I will shove aside.

Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the debater of this system of things? Did not God make the wisdom of the world foolish? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not get to know God, God saw good through the foolishness of what is preached to save those believing.1 Corinthians 1:18-21.
