Life's Great Questions

Atheists simply do not have a clue about how to approach the problem of answering Life's Great Questions.
With their champion relying on a multiverse, to answer the problem of cosmological constants, no,evidence of course, the atheist is adrift and in a world of make believe, supported solely by the notion that they never met God today. Shallow. And sad.

Life`s great questions to me are how can I give myself and my family and friends the best life possible. I can live a decent honest and lawful life without needing to believe in a higher being. I have no issues with people who do feel that need and would expect the same courteousy from them not to be challenged and allowed to live my life in peace as I choose.
Jesus acknowledged this fundamental urge, saying: “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need,” or those who recognize and respond to their spiritual hunger. (Matt. 5:3)
It is easy, though, to overlook that need. Even one who has long been involved with God might lose appreciation for how much happiness this relationship produces.
Now Atheists who got nothing to look forward to, Not all atheists were raised as such. Many were exposed to a form of religion and at one time believed in God. However, serious health or family problems or certain injustices they experienced weakened their faith. For others, courses taught in schools of higher learning have had a negative impact on their concept of God.
Admittedly, not all atheists will accept the truth. But there are many who are willing to consider another viewpoint. Heb. 4:12.

Theland - "... [atheists are] adrift and in a world of make believe... [and are] Shallow. And sad.".
There is a psychological condition known as "projection":
"... [those suffering from the condition] defend themselves against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in themselves, while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude." [ref: Wikipedia, https:/ /goo.gl /Hk3gk)
Ring any bells Theland? It should, since the statement you made above is an accurate description of yourself and many others like you.
Religious people like yourself (ie. Christians) genuinely believe that a supernatural deity who is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent created an entire universe containing billions of galaxies which in turn contain billions of stars around which billions and billions of planets orbit. Then, on just one of those planets, in an outer spiral arm of a rather generic galaxy, He created man. Then He forgets that He's omniscient and omnipresent thereby allowing Eve to eat from the "tree of knowledge" because a talking snake(!) suggested it to her. Then He also forgets that He's omnipotent and fails to fix this incredibly trivial error and condemns every single future human being born afterwards, even though there's no rational reason for Him to do so.
And you think that atheists are living in a world of make believe! Sheesh.
Kettle, meet pot.

Goodlife - "... True and the most going to a dead end."
What is it about oblivion that you find so scary? Are you so enamoured with your own existence that you're terrified to contemplate a world without you in it? You didn't exist nor have a consciousness before you were born and I doubt that troubled you greatly. That you'll cease to have a consciousness when you die won't trouble you either. You can think of it as a "dead end" if you like but that doesn't alter the fact that it's true and that's where you, I, and everyone else on this planet is going.
If that makes you sad then I suggest that you grow up and face reality. Stop dreaming of a life after you drop dead because it's not going to happen.

Mamyalynne - "... It is simple surely to co exist and get on with the lives we have."
It should be. But it isn't. The reason it isn't is because all religions instruct their adherents to proselytise. Some even go as far as to physically punish - by which I mean torture and murder - those who disbelieve a particular religion or sect of a religion.
If only it were so simple. I wish it was. I really do. But wishing things were simple does not make them so.
We live in a frightening world filled to the brim with religious intolerance and self-righteous whack-jobs. Leading the charge for intolerance, hatred and violence is the religion of peace. How ironic.
