Unfortunately there are still large numbers of people in the western world who view Islam through rose tinted spectacles. I can understand why: it seems almost nonsensical that a major world religion is inherently barbaric and monstrous. Question posted at 11:40AM and still no response. What's going on. Have people stopped talking about Islam? Perhaps fear taking its toll.
I don't suppose there's much anyone can say really, Keyplus. They all know the answers to those questions.
keyplus90 //Perhaps fear taking its toll.//

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I have recently, and am proud to now be islamphobic. We need to keep this vicious religion out of the civilised world. For anyone doubting the severity of this cruel and barbaric religion, view this.

I have no doubt that what is considered mainstream religions also have their pedos and black history, but at least these have altered their manner to a more civilised way of life.
Unfortunately there are still large numbers of people in the western world who view Islam through rose tinted spectacles. I can understand why: it seems almost nonsensical that a major world religion is inherently barbaric and monstrous. People who know no better say to themselves, 'Surely the religious maniacs of ISIL, Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, Hamas, etc. can't represent "true" Islam according to the Koran can they?'. To the uninitiated it seems absurd that someone can think that the Koran is a vile book and that Mohammed was a monster. I've seen many non-muslims recoil in horror at this very suggestion and accuse others of islamophobia (I deliberately refuse to grace that word with a capital letter as it is a despicable slur) even though they themselves know nothing whatsoever about the contents of the Koran or the Hadiths.

But the sad truth is that ISIL, Boko Haram, etc. do represent precisely what the Koran teaches. The Koran is figuratively bursting at the seams with torture, rape, paedophilia, murder, slavery, robbery, and genocide. All of which is condoned by, promoted by and sometimes carried out by Mohammed himself. The Koran is a litany of vile pronouncements and deeds.

Yet all those horrors contained within the Koran are dismissed by almost all muslims as the delusions of islamophobes. Admittedly some muslims don't actually know what's in the Koran having never actually read it and simply believe the lies they're told by their peers, Immans and other influential people in their communities. However, the deceit of muslims who have read it and who refuse to acknowledge that the Koran does indeed contain immoral and vile verses reflects very badly on them. I've met a few honest muslims in my time who do admit that some sections of the Koran are horrific but these individuals are very few and far between. Our own Keyplus absolutely refuses to acknowledge this point even after direct quotes from the Koran are presented to him. He simply accuses the poster of either fabricating the verses or referencing an incorrect translation. Neither accusation ever stands up to even the slightest scrutiny but things such as honesty, integrity and truthfulness are alien concepts to Keyplus and a great many others who share his beliefs.

Publicly criticising Islam can be extremely hazardous to ones health as many have found to their great cost. It is difficult to bring up the subject of muslim intolerance and violence without exposing oneself to muslim intolerance and violence. I believe that a great many non-muslims in the world are very, very afraid of Islam yet they are afraid to admit they're afraid because of the threat of exposing themselves to the intolerance and violence that such an admission may bring.
^^^I very rarely if ever agree with you, however I must say your post is well written and thought provoking.

I would think the answer to question "b" is any religion that kills a person if they speak out against it.
So simple RATTER15 that it took until the 21st century to realise it ?
baza

That's very kind of you to say so. Thank you.
Wildwood I have been watching the video you posted. Absolutely horrifying. No wonder they would rather kill themselves than live the life of a woman in Pakistan. Hopefully things are slowly changing for the better??

Birdie @ 1.30. Have to agree with Baza. Excellent post.
Thanks for all that.
I just caught this post after seeing jourdain flash through latest posts. I was so rapt at what was written by birdie1971 that I have printed it off. That piece should be displayed in every town square in the land. Starting with Tower Hamlets.
Boredom keyplus
In very large print, togo.
It's good. But it's up against it when we have a PM and a Home Secretary that claim, 'This is nothing to do with Islam' after every moslem outrage and a national broadcaster that spews out Islamist taqiyya 7 days a week.
Seems to work as well if AB is representative of the country at large.
I know svejk. I want to slap Cameron every time he says it.
Birdie1971
For once, I have to agree with your comments.
Have made a small donation to Médecins sans Frontières (as a gift to AB Birdie) in appreciation for his post. What a contrast to an earlier post by a thug!
Great post again Birdie! Who doubted that there was an AB intellectual elite??

- a religious offering, a bloodless sacrifice perhaps?
1.57 billion souls written off, is this the result of too much abyss-staring?
"Its Simple Really!!"..... really? well I never!
When I left my first school, the headmistress presented me with a Holy Bible. In the front she had penned " Fear God and keep his commandments" - my italics.
