She won't like that DB !
I do Naomi, don't think it's a fake...

Yes, Henrietta will be back I'm sure.
divebuddy/Mikey, oh dear. I don’t think either of you have ever heard the expression, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt”. ;o)

agchristie, I think it will be a volcano. It must have been an amazing sight.
A natural phenomena - nature at its best and most impressive.
Unquestionably a fantastic sight with the potential to cause emotions from euphoria to anxiety at the same time.

Odds on a volcano yes, hopefully we will discover soon!
The Tamu massif summit is 6,500 feet below sea level, ie, a mile and a quarter. Do you really think that the glow from molten lava would be visible at the surface, especially as the water would be clouded with suspended ash.

Jomifl...you are probably correct. I expect it was those pesky little men on the moon after all !
Mikey, you may well be right, we can blame an awful lot on aliens, plus it saves thinking...:o)
Lucifer's Ring. An inflammation of the ocean's bottom. :-P
^ :o)
Sometimes an answer has the ring of brilliance about it. Douglas' falls into that category.
too drole Sandy....
Jom/Mikey - Why waste time speculating on a matter you are so dismissive of?

The only alien views are your own. Who here is an expert in seismology? You never know, you might just become 'enlightened' when the likely outcome is known...
agchristie...lighten up ! Read Henriettas post..."or something else" She clearly would love this to be another of her aliens. Does she, or you really expect a rational debate on this topic ? She still thinks that there is a very strong possibility that there aliens on the Moon !

Tell me...do YOU think that there are alien forward bases on the Moon ?
Ag, I have confess to not being an expert in seismology..but I do know how to use google, so far no news from the shatsky rise. If it had been the 'shatner' rise then anything would have been possible.
Mikey, why do you interpret 'something else' as alien existence? You are obviously pre-judging from the other question.

Of course it's possible to have a rational debate on this. There are thousands of people round the world discussing the issue!

Maybe I don't believe in the existence of aliens but we can all have a view and argue in the alternative in a respectful manner.

We are all adults here agchristie, and we usually have vigorous, adult, debates. While I have been vigorous and combative, I have not used rude words or been unnecessarily hard on Henrietta. If I have insulted her unduly, then I apologise.

But her choice of debating topic is hard to take seriously. She appears to be typical Van Daniken material, much keener to believe in the irrational and illogical, rather then trying to find a more sensible answer. Her mind set was cemented by her previous post about the "Moon bases" and I'm afraid she will now have to win back the right to be taken seriously.
Especially for Mikey, this wet and windy afternoon down here in the land of Trolls, Mermaids and John Betjeman, “Not until we have taken a look into the future shall we be strong and bold enough to investigate our paste honestly and impartially” Guess who?
