We are lucky to have Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and atheist friends, and they're all wishing us a 'Happy Cristmas', only Google, seems to have a problem with this, - strange!
It's supposed to be nondenominational.
Happy holidays is common in the States.
I really see no problem with it....covers both Christmas and new year.

yes, it's not just Christmas, it's New Year too. Many people take, or are told to take, the entire week off.
Happy Wednesday Scrivens!
Google does not have a 'problem'...it/they recognises that the holiday period is many things. Not just Christmas.
holiday - as i have just logged of and have the next 8 days off wooooooooooo
But surely Christmas wouldn't be here without the birth, according to Christians, of Jesus.

As far as I'm aware we still live in a Christian country, regardless of whether or not you believe in Christianity, therefore it is, and always will be, Christmas.

It doesn't upset me Hindus celebrating Diwali, Jews celebrating Passover or Muslims celebrating the end of Ramadan.

I puport to being an agnostic, but will not support anybody or thing that tries to take Christ out if Christmas for fear of upsetting somebody else.
Christmas. I hate this happy holidays thing. Ugh.
Google are an American company, Americans frequently say "Happy Holidays" I did not think they were being pc, why are people so easily rattled these days?
Question Author
cazzz; //why are people so easily rattled these days?// I'm not rattled, it is just inaccurate, and yet another example of reductionism gnawing away at our culture.
A happy midwinter to all...
Question Author
^^Doesn't quite have the ring to it, will you be wishing us a happy mid-summer too?
there's also Yule and Hogswatch.
Happy Winterval, Google!
it's also Kwanzaa in America
I hate "Happy Holiday's" ... holidays for me are taken in he good weather when there's time to get away. Not now when we get a couple of days off for Christmas. Lets just say Happy Christmas and be done with it. That's what it is after all.
