The point she was making was absolutely central to the topic and she articulated it very well.
A good debater recognises the issue and addresses it. The caller had no answer and she maneuvered him into a corner where he himself revealed his position to be utterly untenable.

From the linked video above...
Shane [the caller]: “The moral compass I have, described by the Bible, is depraved and lost, and it's full of sin and evil. There's no way it [his moral compass, ie. himself] can understand good in the first place.”
I find that statement both depressing and worrying in equal amounts.
Shane's been hoodwinked into thinking that his own morality is inherently faulty. He's swallowed hook, line and sinker the egregious falsehood that he needs god and religion in order to be able to distinguish right from wrong. I almost feel sorry for the sad wretch.
In the words of the late, great Christopher Hitchens, “Religion poisons everything.”. If there was ever a shining example of how religion infects and poisons the way a person thinks, this surely must be a candidate for the first prize.

I've listened to this clip a couple of times now and I don't hear what is particularly 'grating' about her voice. It sounds like a 'normal' voice to my ears. It's not particularly high pitched nor strangely accented. She uses no unusual pronunciations. There is no vocal 'tick' that I can detect. All I hear is woman patiently trying to explain a fundamental point about morality.
What specifically “grates” with you about her voice? Please do tell.

I have watched many of these over the last couple of years, I like them, the presenters are very professional and I'm pretty sure the guy in the pic above was trained as a priest and only turned against religion after his studies left him in no uncertain terms totally against religion and a belief in any God.
Like Naomi, " I'd like to see something similar in this country."

I think what people found irritating about her was her insistence on an answer and would not let the conversation continue without addressing the particular issue in question. I thought she was very good!
I think what beso referred to as "sexist" was the comment about a young girl being raped, I would have also called him a piece of sh!t and that was complementary to him! face to face I would have probably decked him.
beso, Goodlife would be destroyed on that show, no copy and paste on the telephone, I think he would just read passages from the Bible that had absolutely no relevance to anything, he would be reduced to a blubbering wreck.

doctordb //Beso, I take it that your refusal to try defend or correct your claim of sexism is an acceptance by you that it was a daft thing to say.//
Not at all. I believe you found her annoying because, like many men, you find women who stand their ground annoying.
The attitude is so deeply ingrained in some that you are probably not even aware of what really annoys you about her.
