Russell Grant came on "This Morning" on ITV earlier and started waffling on about how Saturn's presence was influencing this and that ... blah, blah, blah.

What a load of cr@p. Why do people believe this drivel? It has absolutely no scientific base whatsoever.

How can the position of a celestial body influence a person’s life?

Why would people born under the same star sign, have very similar traits and personalities as each other; yet be different to other people born under a different star sign? Surely this is not a predetermined characteristic and is determined by your upbringing and experiences gained in your early years?

Sorry if you’re a believer, but what a load of twaddle – any believers/non-believers on here?

Like most Virgos, I'm not taken in by such things.
I write them, but I don't believe in them. Not a word of them.

Invariably, insecure females, pretty much 100%.

If it tells me I'm going to meet and marry George Clooney then, yes, ok, maybe I will but otherwise, no way Jose, no chance Lance... Hokum, drivel, Krapp, twaddle, rubbish. I haven't read them since I was a young teenager and I'm now waaaayyyy past that age ! Likewise with Tarot cards... who believes any of that tripe? I suppose someone must .
My horoscope for today:

"Feed your mind today, Scorpio. While you enjoy being active and social, you do get bored quickly. You'll need to give yourself a constant supply of intriguing, fresh material in order to feel your best. Explore an interesting subject or learn a new hobby. Stimulate your mind and your body will become more energetic. Go online if you can't get away."

So that last sentence is spot on, anyway.
One of the trashy magazines that I flick through each week has a psychic page. People actually write in and ask if their dead cat/dog/child etc is happy and have they forgiven sins against them.

I know that the people who write in to ask questions are hurting or sad but I can't understand why anyone actually believes the answer that they are given.

I think horoscopes are a lot of rubbish. But mrs_overall is terrific.

Like all others born under Gemini I do and I don't...x
Geminians are a two faced. I should know....I am one. :-)

One of these days they'll get rid of the Horoscopes in the papers. I'd have thought pretty soon, as Neptune is in the fifth house.
I don't believe in it for a second, but...on the very few occasions that I happen to read one they do always seem to say something very specific and relevant. Talking to people who are into the whole horoscope and starsign thing do have a talent for describing people's personalities from their starsigns
of course some people have personality traits attributed to their sign sign ... so do lots of other people born under the other eleven star signs
^ ^ ^ star sign
aelmpvw - you are exactly right. If I was to look at my kids though, only one year between them, daughter's a Taurus, son is a Gemini and they are both very different but very true to the typical traits associated with their starsigns
That's called coincidence.
I sound like i'm endorsing them now, which I am totally not. I'm not sure coincidence is ever a good explanation for things that happen repeatedly though. Having a baby 9 months after sex could be considered a coincidence if you didn't understand the mechanism for making babies!
