I never associated it with a horned devil, I just thought it was a "cool" hand sign for the youngsters. You learn something new everyday :)

Always said that George Bush was a lizard naomi ;-)
Bit bizzare though, look how he's posing at 1:20. Who makes hand gestures like that while standing next to the queen? (or standing next to anyone for that matter) Heaven help me. I'm turning into a conspiracy theorist... |

I've never associated the gesture with the devil. Whilst I was driving my car the other day, I gave way to a bus at a junction. As he passed me, the driver gave me this gesture. At the time, I thought it was a bit odd but slightly cool.

In some places, the sign is used to symbolise the head of a bull and is used to indicate that someone is talking BS. However, I'm with Erin - the most common usage is that popularised in heavy metal circles by Ronnie James Dio and was a sign his grandmother supposedly used to ward off the devil (and not, as is frequently claimed, an indication that the signer is a follower of Satan). Over time, it has lost any religious connotations and is typically used to indicate that something \m/ RAWKS \m/.
