Someone has this "Is there a god business" terribly wrong

On one hand you have the many millions or maybe billions of those that follow religions who's roots have questionable beginnings, motives and practices.

On the other hand you have millions or maybe billions that are oblivvious to the fact that we just didn't appear out of a cloud of gas and there is indeed a higher power, race or god if you will.

Where is the middle ground if there is a middle ground?

THE new atheists envision a world with no religion—no suicide bombers, no religious wars, and no televangelists fleecing their flocks. Does that vision appeal to you? Do any of the main religions believe in alien lifeforms or have any mention of other beings except angels and demons or ufos?

Definitely true. Unless we can move the rock further away from the Sun it will be bone dry in a billion years because the water will have boiled off. Life will have come and gone.
