What were FIFA thinking?

Ever since it was announced that RSA would stage the World Cup there have been serious considerations about the security of visiting fans; heres one from today:

Surely part of the criteria in the bidding to stage the cup would involve how safe will fans be? With the amount of competition bidding to hold the tournament its not like they'll struggle to find a suitable host nation.

lol, as if this is any different to Brixton
It must surely have been a political decsion to hold the word cup in this uncivilised, criminal savage ridden sh1te h0le. There are many more deserving/competant places to hold the world cup but FIFA was determined to have it in Africa.
