UKIP BNP and Greens will do well today.

It will be interesting to see if Labour gets pushed into fourth place, and whether the the expenses scandal has done any damage to the Tories and whether that will will hamper the Tories resurgence.

Labour are expecting to do very badly, but if the Tories do not do as well as expected, it may just save Brown's bacon.
Of course what people do in the privacy of the voting booth is up to them.

Some may well say down the pub "im not voting for that lot", but when they get in the booth they put their cross against the same party they always do.

I just find it sad how many people say they are NOT going to vote at all.

That is the worse thing we can do.

A low turn out just gives the politicians the excuse to do whatever they like because they think the public "dont care"
I voted this morning, and I voted UKIP. I don't have a good opinion of any party, but I didn't feel like giving my seal of approval (i.e. vote) to any of the scroungers who have been in the news recently. OK, I know that UKIP isn't squeaky clean, either, but I want to see the UK pulled out of the EU, and UKIP look as if they might make more of an effort in that matter than any of the others. By the way, I was a bit taken aback by being faced with 12 parties to choose from. Most of them I've never heard of, so I certainly wasn't going to vote for someone who hasn't had the courtesy to even tell me that they exist. Roll on the next election!
UKIP isn't squeeky?

That's the understatement of the week!

Personally though I think the UKIP vote is much more likely to hurt the Tories so I shouldn't be knocking it.

I shall be voting later and I shall be voting either Labour or LibDem depending on who has the best chance of keeping out the Tories.
I agree with bookbinder, I'd hardly heard of some of the parties on the ballot, but chose to vote Green as a protest against the major parties. I voted Green mainly because of their environmental viewpoint, but also because they are generally pro Europe, but with reservations about The Lisbon Treaty and greater political integration.
What some people don't realise (or like to admit) is that the Tories are just as bad in this expenses row as the Labour lot. But they seem to be using this as one excuse to punish Labour. All you Labour supporters who will never give your vote to anyone else, don't just do nothing today. Get out and vote otherwise you are damaging Labour by being apathetic.
It only takes minutes to find out what each party stands for

I am amazed the BBC web site links to the BNP web site.
>What some people don't realise (or like to admit) is that >the Tories are just as bad in this expenses row as the >Labour lot.

I am not sure that is true, most people realise is is all parties.

In fact much of the critisism has been about cleaning out moats, buying duck houses, fixing tennis courts, and so on, which were all Tory MPs.

I am generally a tory voter, but I have been disgusted by some of the claim by tory MPs and will not vote tory this time.

Mind you, Keith Vaz 17 silk cushions and Prescott's tudor beams also annoyed me greatly.
I know

Personally I think the following is classic:

JURY TEAM
Leader: Sir Paul Judge
Number of MEPs: None
Policies: None
Why are u surprised. Althiough Brown has done his best to stop it we are still just in a democracy and the BNP is not banned.

Reckon UKIP will do well R1 but not that well. Tories will probably still gather the most.

Jake your having a laugh. Wake up man labours days are numbered. And they are not just being punished for the expenses otherwise damage to the Tories and Liberals would be just the same. People aer sick of Brown. If he went someone may just be able to salvage the party, but the arrogant Berk wont.

Until recently most politicians (and some web sites like the BBC) treated the BNP as a non-party and would not even talk about them let alone provide a link to their site.

So I am not saying it is WRONG that they do provide a link, just surprising.

Funnily enough I installed some PC security software a year or so back (Norton I think) and at the time, when I followed a link to the BNP site the Norton security product would not let me look at the BNP site.

How's that for censorship.
People are just p1$$ed off with the economy and rather than blame themselves for living beyond their means they are blaming the party in power.

Ditto expenses claims.

We have the spectacle of Cameron Going around saying the system must be fixed as if he had no earthly idea until this month what the system was!

If Blair had lost the last election all on this would be being laid squarely on Michael Howard's shoulders!

Only he'd probably not have saved the banks so half the country would be unemployed and having their homes repossessed

Jake you are spot on about people living beyond their means etc but I do not see why the "Ditto expense claims" is the fault of the people, that's MP's of all party's snout and two front trotters in trough, making use of a system they administer themselves, can't see how you can say that's the public's fault.
Be fair, in the grand scheme of things, today's elections are meaningless.
Does it matter if we vote Tory or Labour? Judging by the number of Labour MPs with their snout in the trough shows they are failed conservatives aspiring to greater wealth for themselves. We are the mugs having to pay for it!

UKIP or BNP is the only answer.
