is it possible for a state to secede from the United States
and join Canada. Just curious

hard to say - the last time it happened there was a war, which the seceders lost. The only way to find out is to try it, I suspect

I believe Texas is the only state to have the right to sesede writen into the agreement when it joined the Union.

I think the chances of Texas joining Canada are er shall we say remote

Yes Texas has an opt out, but I don't think they'd join Canada!

Washington DC are already out, never in, in fact. It is a curious fact that the capital of the US is not actually in the US!
