What Does This Mean in English?

Someone wrote to me in German, could anyone please tell me what it means in English:

"Hallo Ciaran - Du sprichst ziemlich gut Deutsch :) Eigentlich heisse ich Joana, aber mich nennt jeder nur jos - auch im real life".

And: Das kann ich nur bestätigen.

Ich heiße Petra. Der Name wurde im Forum ja schon ein paar Mal genannt.
