motorcyclists this morning in london

this morning about 9.30 there was a huge convoy of motorbikes -about 100- with a police escort front and rear, on the western avenue travelling out of town towards oxford,they all wore (both rider and passenger ) white t shirts with writing on the front , i couldn't make out what it said as i was driving in the opposite direction ,anyone know who they were and where they were going?

Bikers are not the big bad morons that most people think they are.

There are hundreds of charity rides by bikers, some have hundreds of riders in them for all sorts of charities. This could have been one of them.

I don't know what this one was for though.

i believe they were campaigning for action on diesel spills which on a bike are very bad news

RVD is correct it is/was a kill spills demo,all about that lovely diesel that is dangerous when spilt onto the road surface & it cost �25 per bike to demonstrate plus �10 for a pillion/passenger ( i think -i read)
