I have used 'freecycle' for the last few years but recently my local group has become so restrictive in what you can and cannot do......I only caught a few seconds on the radio, but I heard that there is a similar site starting up in the UK - does anyone know what it is called etc?

sorry - can you explain what freecycle is?

a worldwide idea that instead of binning/dumping unwanted items you recycle them amongst others

Thaks - that could well be the one - I belong to Freecycle but our moderator has so many rules and regs, it is becomong a bit of a pain!
There was an item on the gadget show on channel 5 about such things - perhaps you could have a look on their website too -
