old geezer 17:04 Thu 22nd Jun 2023. Since both has to be, in the main, nonsense,
Locust . UNDOUBTEDLY you have heard the expression “last days.” Many persons are familiar with it because of its use in God’s Word . it is often an un welcomed subject. Some persons even scoff at that there could be such a thing and close their minds when the Bible subject of the “last days” arises. Yet, it is a fact that many things do come to their end, and, hence, experience their final days. ? We know that many false warnings have been sounded. Just as today there are many clergymen who misinterpret he criptures and make them ridiculous and void, son generations past there were some who did not
THE LAST DAYS” of what? As it means the last days of an old, unsatisfactory, unsuccessful, hopeless system of things, it is fine that we have reached the “time of he end” of it.
American Standard Version 1 Timothy 4
1 But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
Jude 17 But ye, beloved, remember ye the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 That they said to you, In the last time there shall be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.
Daniel 2. 44 / 45 .And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
How We Know We Live in the “Last Days ? Just one of the prophecies Revelation 11:18 foretold that in these days when the nations are “wrathful,” mankind would be “ruining the earth.”
There is only one Church and it contains all those born again from the Holy Spirit and saved by Jesus Christ.
Jesus never came to earth to form a new religion, there was already a perfectly good religion in place. The whole of the New Testament is about Jesus. Many times in the gospels He states He is the Son of God.
At the end of the day that is all that matters. I state my claim that I believe we are in the last days before the Rapture of the Church.
I have a living relationship with God through Jesus. Would i rather be in a miserable cult, where I am forbidden to celebrate Easter, Christmas and my Birthday and banned from even voting, well what do you think?

fiveleaes. There is only one Church and it contains all those born again from the Holy Spirit and saved by Jesus Christ locust / This was to demonstrate his own righteousness, because God in his forbearance was forgiving the sins that occurred in the past ,Romans 5:12 21 .13 For sin was in the world before the Law, but sin is not charged against anyone when there is no law . 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Bible is sort of a munitions store for the religious fruitcake isn't it.
Pick any subject and there's a trite chapter to back up your claims.
Another potential discussion destroyed by TTT and Naomi. You two need to get a life - or a hotel room!
What? I've only posted one line here, maggiebee.
History shows us that the Women's Land Army made a good job of caretaking the earth, especially in WWII.
Naomi asked a question @ 16.59. How the heck is that ruining a thread maggie?
I think maggie posted on the wrong thread. Not a capital offence. I'm surprised that Naomi didn't get it. Maybe it's the hair trigger that does it. :-)
17:49, how? I did one line on page 1!
Man *IS* ruining the Earth....
Don't need a religious tome to tell us that.
There is no need to pay attention to the fervents squabbling like two bald men over a comb.

None of them had the slightest interest in anything the others, or anyone else, is saying, so utterly is each of them convinced that he alone is right.
Atheist, can you tell me which thread you think maggie meant to post on?
It might have been the Charles Dickens quote one, Ladybirder.
//There is no need to pay attention to the fervents squabbling like two bald men over a comb.//
Couldnt help but laugh at that....

My first time in prison (30 yrs ago) I was given a comb (I was bald at the time) and a razor (I had a beard)

Just had to swap the two for there intended purposes....
Thanks Douglas. xx

fiveleaes. There is only one Church //// you personally must choose which is the true church which is the false church or churches , But you will know by their love among themselves?????
Locust a continuation / Misconception: A person can choose to be born again.??
Fact: The opportunity to have a relationship with God lAmighty and gain salvation is open to all. (1 Timothy 2: 3, 4; James 4:8) However, God Almighty chooses those who will be born again, or anointed with holy spirit. According to the Bible, being born again “depends, not on a person’s desire or on his effort, But on God.”Not the person (Romans 9: 6) The expression “born again” can also be rendered “born from above,” confirming that the selection of those who are born again comes “from above,” or from Go —John 3:3,
Misconception: A person must be born again to gain salvation or to be a Christian.
Fact : Christ’s sacrifice provides salvation not only for those who are born again as the ones who will rule with Christ in heaven but also for the earthly subjects of God’s Kingdom. (1 John 2: 1, 2
Seriously Wolf63?

Surely cats should rule the world,,
And it's still allnonsense locust.

Just preach & practice love. Throw the claims of "God's Word" and other assorted nonsense (claimed by ancient folk who had no more access to reality than anyone else but who convinced others that they did) away, and you will have progressed.

OLD-GEEZER 09:26 Sun 25th Jun 2023 And it's still all nonsense locust.
Maybe you Do not have Faith like Peter’ ( you Trying to tell me you don't believe in a GOD because you can't see him but you do believe in air which you breathe which you cannot see this is the bit confusing ) , but Peter believed the things he wrote about the flood of Noah’s day because he had faith in what was “spoken by the holy prophets” and by Christ Jesus, who said: “For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be.
(Matt. 24:37-3.9 And they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away
