PP, //didnt someone ( with the usual threats) say I must stick to the facts and make any opinions clear? //

Who said that?
Naomi, yes i know about the moon's influence on the date - it's why i mentioned the moon:-)
My mother died on Friday 16th March 2012 - Cheltenham Gold Cup Day, but we don't wait until Gold Cup Day to celebrate her death. We do so on the 16th - every year - no matter what the moon is up to:-)
I'm not a churchgoing Christian but I believe Christianity is the religion of love and forgiveness. I think the sacrifice of Christ's crucifixion was the greatest act of forgiveness, in that it freed humanity from the need to sacrifice lives in order to atone for original sin. The other Abrahamic religions, what I think of as Old Testament religions, retain the idea of blood sacrifice in their dietary laws - something I find archaic and deeply disturbing (and I feel the same about much of Old Testament 'history' in general).
The New Testament is enough for me and any deviation from its central message of love and forgiveness I can put down to misunderstanding - and any wrongs done in its name are due to human failings. For me, the death and resurrection of Christ is the core of a new religion and I'm prepared to sacrifice scientific 'certainty' for that - but only for this one moment of time.
As a Christian, Jesus's crucifiction and resurrection means everything to me. It is the central tenet of my faith.
I am not sure of the Friday to Saturday timeframe. Jesus Himself said 3 days and 3 nights in Matthew, but have no doubt the crucifiction and resurrection happenned.
Would take an eternity to fully grasp the depth of God's love in this

John 5:21-30 John .5 25
Death is a normal part of life,
Suppose, though, that the question were turned around and you were asked, “Are you ready to die?” Under normal circumstances, most people would answer no. The point? In spite of the trials and hardships we face, our normal and natural desire is to live. The Bible shows that God created humans with the desire and the will to live. Romans 6:23.
Everything living dies eventually including human beings. That's nature.

Is Christianity and Judaism Abrahamic ( er yes) and are there any more?

When people refer to the Abrahamic religions they are usually thinking of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. There are, in fact, more Abrahamic religions, such as the Baha'i Faith, Yezidi, Druze, Samaritan and Rastafari,

Abrham - Ibraheem certainly occurs in the Quran but I wasnt sure if that made it Abrahamic. (*)
Jn 5 25
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into.

kinda makes sense really - you dont reach the Kingdom of Heaven by reading the Daily Mirror ( a/c to Prince Harry)

Locust .
Why. Why. and why- That was not the original intention for man to die, but man decided to rebel against God ,And sin entered the Earth ,And with man has died ever since . Sadly, though, Adam and Eve failed to obey God. (Genesis 3:6, 7 The tragic consequences are described by the apostle Paul:(Romans 5:12)

Peter Pedant 10:33 Wed 29th Mar 2023 you dont reach the Kingdom of Heaven by reading the Daily Mirror

yes I agree ,with you but we must remember the kingdom of the heavens is a different place ,from God's Kingdom upon the Earth .so which one r we referring to For me it would be the kingdom of the Earth and living in a paradise Earth ,yes??
You surely realise that is a nonsense, don't you locust ? Have you talked to God and God personally confirmed it ?

It's a fantasy preached by some ancient someone who thought they had answers to life's questions, but with hindsight we can see how ludicrous their view was; and one ought not continue to spread fake news, as that is very wrong; a sin even.

We are here for a while, then we are gone. What happened to us prior to us being here, and after we leave, is conjecture. But if one finds faith in such, one ought at least to select ideas that sound plausible and which claim little that answers nothing but merely embelishes the tale.
Locusts, //Sadly, though, Adam and Eve failed to obey God.//

If God wanted his creation to obey him don't you ever wonder why he endowed them the ability to choose? Furthermore, God being omnipotent knew what would happen when he created them. All very strange … don't you think?

If God threw angels out of heaven, then what chance have we mere mortals got??
Cardinal newman - as love spreads, it becomes alive...

If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

locsut ..I think your Foundation is on rocky ground ,because you cannot prove anything to substantiate your claims, but if you wish to to follow up with Foundation of the Bible, many. many Sciences has agreed that the Bible is a factual book ,and dates back thousands of years or so ,archaeology has proved many times at these disagreements has been unwarranted, and and come true, I think you need to listen to to one of these YouTube arguments ,here's one for you which I quite like, maybe you will disagree
//er no we know God gave us Free Will - //

Keep up, PP. The question was 'why'?
