I see this all over social media, but sometimes if people stop posting others start fretting imagining them dead, in hospital and ask the Ab Editor to contact them to find out what's happened.

Lots of posts on AB asking 'where's Wally' so maybe people should 'announce their departure '.

In airports people don't announce their departure so it is annoyingly daft statement
