Anyone believe they exist?

Got no real reason for asking other than I’ve been a bit bored n looking into info that shows on ancient Sumerian tablets pertaining to Enki and other “aliens”

I hope you use a rubber glove.
Davebro - aliens are very likely to be unconcerned with the laws of physics that govern us at the moment.

I think we are discovering the laws of physics which will apply universally - not just making them up!
It seems to me that there is a lot more evidence that there are ET aliens around than there is evidence of the existence of god. There is a wealth of film and video recordings of strange flying objects, although such film does not prove an ET source. There are no films of god or miracles.
I always have thought that Fatima is just as plausibly explained as a UFO phenomenon as it is a god phenomenon.
Atheist - is you avatar a Francis Bacon or a self portrait?
dave; self-portrait. I modelled my look on Francis's work.
I think there are aliens out there but the distances involved mean we will never have contact even at c it's just not practical.

Ever heard of Steps or line dancing.

Einstein's theory of timespace makes wormholes and time travel both possibilities. If we could figure it out how that hippy with sandals turned water into wine, now that's a mystery.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
'Cause it's *** all down here on Earth
Davebro at 16.02 - once upon a time, the rule that the earth is flat was 'universally applied'.

No-one has any idea what rules apply elsewhere in the universe.

But that was when people rarely moved more that 10 miles from where they were born. We have much better means of observation & data-gathering now.

It's all relative thoough.

We probably know as much about the universe outside the reach of our technology as an ant knows about the zoo a mile down the road.

It may take millions of years for mankind to develop the technology needed to explore beyond the equivalent of earth's back yard - so I am happy to accept that absolutely anything, or equally absolutely nothing, could be out there.
I have to agree with Andy's last sentence. We don't know and it's impossible to correctly guess. Chances are, there are hundreds and thousands of inhabited planets across space, some advanced beyond our dreams, some banging to rocks together to make a fire, but you never know, maybe those theists are right and we're little more than an experiment from a higher being.
