I feel like this is abuse

http://chng.it/h4wnKdgRRK

The chap has since left the Love Island villa, but because he is still in love with his ex, not anything to do with this petition.

Is it not abuse and bullying to start this petition about this man?

In the petition the lady "Amey C" has said "He has proudly posed with an array of dead endangered animals including warthog and water buffalos"

Neither are endangered so this is spreading false information about someone.

The petition got 40,795 signatures

I feel sorry for this chap. Two people from Love Island have killed themselves in the past due to public scrutiny and coping with the public. Yet this woman is allowed to start a global petition to publicly scrutinise a young chap to the point that you want him exiled from the show.

If I had a change.org account I would report this petition for defamation, cyber bullying and spreading defamation.

TheDevil - // If you want this 'hunter' off the TV then surely you want people such as Madonna off the radio? //

Even for you, that supposition is bizarre in the extreme?

Madonna has committed crimes against music - her recording of American Pie for example - but that hardly equates with shooting and killing animals for fun - even you must see that your link is utterly facile.
One can realistically accept that life feeds on life, which includes animals eating other animals, whilst simultaneously rejecting killing for amusement, on moral grounds. To try to imply the two are related is invalid.

"even you must see that your link is utterly facile."

Madonna has expressed her love for hunting and is open about the fact that she has hunted in the past. She can also be seen pictured with "trophy" kills.
Question Author
In fact, Madonna spends most of her spare time hunting. Or at least she use to.
Question Author
You want to boycott one person because he is pictured with dead animals then in my opinion if you don't boycott all people who hunt you're a hypocrite who likes to ump on the back tail of public scrutiny and bullying.

If you have principles they should be across the board not where people can see them when you want them to.

Pappa don't preach
TheDevil - // She can also be seen pictured with "trophy" kills. //

Where?

If you can find such an image, I will be delighted to withdraw my observation about your comparison.
///In fact, Madonna spends most of her spare time hunting.///

Evidence ?
A little Googling tells me that Madonna enjoys a little pheasant shooting, but little more. While it's not something I agree with, it's hardly on the same level as big game hunting.
Question Author
Andy, she famously hosted shooting parties but the be all and end all of your principle is the photograph?

Interesting.

What about Prince Harry, Kate Middleton all pictured with guns or trophy kills? We should start a petition for those as well, yes?
A little Google lead me to Madonna giving up bird-shooting in 2005. Another link was 'Madonna once went pheasant hunting with a boyfriend'. I couldn't find a single link to Madonna 'expressing her love for hunting' -do you have one?
Question Author
She was married to Guy Ritchie you know :')

"Die another way
Madonna ruffled feathers during the Guy Ritchie years by boasting about hunting pheasant: "I like being one of the chaps. Everybody has a huge breakfast, which is a typical English thing. I just have my bowl of macrobiotic soup, then go out and shoot some pheasant." Madge later had a Kabbalah-inspired change of heart and banned hunting on their Wiltshire estate.
Backlash rating 3/5. Loses a point for gratuitous mention of"
That article is hardy the "Madonna spends most of her spare time hunting" you previously claimed was it?

I'm surprised you're not asking people to condemn fishing yet.
TD, is 'I go out and shoot some pheasant' really the same as 'I have a love of hunting'? PS As you say Madonna 'spends most of her spare time hunting', I assume you've got information to back that up?
TD, why has this thread suddenly about Madonna? What has she got to do with your original post?
Question Author
Danny, my thread is about the principle of calling out this man, to then compare that to celebrities who people didn't call out is very relevant.
Question Author
Why do you not open a change.org account and start your own petitions?
Question Author
Because i'm not a sad little busybody with nothing going on in my own life
:-)
