Dad is now entirely bed bound, this disease moved so quickly.
2 weeks ago he could with hel her out of bed and into a wheelchair, now a hoist moves him into a special armchair.
We can no longer wheel him out side to see his beloved garden.

So hard for you to witness Rockrose, hope his pain is well controlled.x
So awful to see how quickly they can go downhill :-(
Question Author
Yes he is pretty drugged up mamya
How awful this is, RR. The pace at which he has deteriorated must be devastating.

Does he know what is happening to him? Or has it taken his mental capacity too now?
I’m sorry. Is there a way his bed could be placed near an open window? Maybe see/ smell his flowers .
Question Author
Yes he knows and he finds it very frustrating as it’s also affecting his speech, but luckily not his appetite so we are purchasing all his favourite goodies and let him fill his belly.
We buy fresh flowers and he has his beloved cockatiel near him but due to the hoist requirements he is no longer able to be near the window
Would it be possible to place a mirror in such a position that he could see his garden?
Question Author
Good idea but his eyes are failing as well it was more the sounds and smells, so with having the bird near by and the flowers it’s helping a bit
This takes me back to a similar situation for me. I do understand what you are going through, Rockrose, and I can only wish you the strength and fortitude to carry this through. I keep you all in my prayers.

Perhaps you could take videos of his garden to show your dad?
Question Author
