Why Does It Seem That Atheists Are Expected To Back Up Their Beliefs With Proof That God Doesn't Exist? Doesn't It Seem More Logical That The Proof Rest With The Believers?

If there was a God, I really wouldn't want to spend eternity with him. He and I really would not get on!
Naomi - Succinctly put - and difficult to gainsay, I would suggest.
There is a cause for many things that are unexplained, I certainly don't believe that any god had anything to do with anything!
Old_Geezer - // Nice to see atheism is a question of faith which one need not waste time proving. //

Atheism is the absence of faith, not a question of it.
You have faith in there not being a God ?
Absence of faith is agnosticism.
It's not faith, og, it's fact until proved otherwise. Agnostic means "don't know".
Goodlife just assigns a flowery description to the basic premise. Fills the picture out a bit. Assumes it has a human face, sentience, etc.. Who knows, it may have.
Indeed. Don't know, and has no faith in either a God nor the absence of one.

Goodlife always has been, and will doubtless remain - the sort of Christian that gets Christianity a bad name.
Today goodlife seems to telling us it's up to him to prove it. Good luck with that, goodlife...
OG, //Absence of faith is agnosticism.//

No, it isn’t. Agnosticism is the view that // the existence of God or the supernatural is unknown or unknowable//

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism

Atheism is an absence of belief in God or Gods. Big difference.
Because the believers were there first. Logic does not apply to superstition.

Naomi has got you there OG!
I struggle to understand how people confuse the words "ATHEISM/ATHEIST"

It really isnt difficult. its a lack of a belief in a god, it doesnt mean anything else no matter what you think!!
andy-h 18.40..... I really wish that goodlife would stop getting the vast majority of we, quiet Christians a bad name. Thanks for understanding that. Wish everyone would.
jourdain - no problem.

I have no issues at all with 'quiet' Christians - I am married to one!
It's only the pushing it onto others that can be a problem. Otherwise people can believe whatever they like.
Does anyone know what proverbs 6:6 actually is?
Question Author
I totally agree. but I found out that even if Atheists listed 100 reasons to prove God doesn't exist, true christians will list 100 reasons why he does. So, nobody can really prove anything. or am I wrong. IT's just whatever you choose to believe.
It isn't. Have you read the posts, goodlife?
