dla and housing benefit

i get higher rate mobility and low rate care do i need to tell housing benefit that i get dla? will it effect my housing benefit?

If you receive DLA, there is a Disability Premium payable on top of the basic entitlement to HB so you should let the council know.

As far as I am aware you will not get less housing benefit but you could get more. As others have said you have to inform them anyway when you have change to the money you have coming in. DLA isn't treated like any other income.
I posted that on the original thread hence the bit about other replies.
You should inform them.I am in receipt of DLA both, at the higher level, and this has always NOT been taken into account when claiming other benefits/ As it is monies for care and getting around.
