Sorry it's me again!
My Great Granddad married someone called Elizabeth who then of course became my Great Grandma.
My Great Granddad died when he was 33yrs old and Great Grandma married again.
Would that make her husband related to me i.e Step Great Granddad?
I know it sounds daft but I honestly don't know the answer.
Many thanks.

Yes, he would be your step great grandad.

Thanks Barmaid.
I don't believe he is anything other than your step great grandma's husband .... technically that is. Elizabeth was related in stp as she married your blood relative - but atfer his death and when she remarried, I do not believe the "step" transfers across ..... but I may be wrong!
just to clarify missprim, are you descended from the marriage of your great grandad and elizabeth, or was your grandparent from a marriage before the great grandad married elizabeth, in which case, the man she married after your great grandad died is no relation to you blood or step, but if she was your blood great grandma her children if any by the second husband are your blood relations and the father is a step relation, as said by barmaid
