This clip is Furtwangler, because I think Furtwangler "understood" Wagner;s music like no other conductor. Sadly, there's only a photo of him.
This piece gives me absolute goosebumps every time when it gets to the bit at 2:21 (in this recording).
I'd love to building the towering, spiralling strings with one hand, while firmly pacing the horns with the other.
Conducting brilliance ... and Furtwangler did it best.
