A hair on my nose

There is a single follicle on my nose from which sprouts a thick, black, very noticeable hair. I pluck that out using tweezers and that causes a large area on the end of my nose to swell and become bright red - just like a clown's nose. It stays like that for several days before going down; a couple of weeks later a new hair appears and the cycle starts again...

What would be the most effective way of killing off this solitary hair follicle?

Thanks in advance.

Go to one of the flash beauty salons in Canford Cliffs and have it removed by electrolysis

Thanks - just looked at a price list and hopefully the cost for a single hair will be a lot less than the prices listed there; if not I'll probably just put up with the problem.
This would probably work out cheaper than electrolysis as you will need more than one treatment.

You can use this as many times as it takes for the hair to die off for a reasonably cheap cost. I am asking my oh for one for Christmas this years :)

Continually plucking the hair will cause it to weaken anyway and it will gradually get thinner. The red area is probably caused by the regrowth, the end is trying to get through! Try using a facial defoiliating scrub which will help the hair to regrow without causing the redness.
Or, as already suggested electrolysis.

Thanks to daffy654 and madmaggot too.

There's no way I'm going to fork out a small fortune just for one hair, so I'll figure out some other way.
