How can I look up family members in Dagestan c1900? I have first names, ranks/titles, neighborhoods, offspring (3 generations), and birthyears. I tried googel and yahoo but nothing really before 1950s. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I'm working on a family storybook.

I must add that I tried ancestry. com and some others that were suggested on someone elses post, all to no avail because they only seem to have records from america or UK.

Don't know which country you are in Yinzer but try www.linages.co.uk.  Check out Our favourite links down the right hand side, you might find something that could help.
