It's bonkers! Weird and wonderful architecture, sculptures, nooks & crannies. When the tide is out, take a walk along the bay.
However, beware of the grumpy staff talking to each other in Welsh leaving you standing there like a spare one.

yup great place, you'll love it!
like delboy says watch out for the grumpy staff talking holliday welsh. they never quite manage a full sentence and when they do speak english there's no hint of a welsh accent lol

Went last year, delboy describes it perfectly, my eyes were everywhere trying to take it all in, would recommend the cliff/garden walk. It does get very packed though, would like to visit again out of season, btw try the cadwalladers ice-cream....delicious!

If you have access to UKTV Drama at 5pm, every day this week they are showing an old Doctor Who story (with Tom Baker) filmed at Portmeirion.

You wont like it, to imposing.
I went there in 1967 & they kept me there for 17 weeks.
I was tortured, drugged, bullied & investigated for leaving my job.
Be seeing you?
