How can I dye black hair white?

I have black hair and beard and wish to dye white... Do I need to bleach & then dye? any advice?? BTW ima bloke ;-)

yes you can i have very dark hair too and ive manged to get it white you need to totally bleach it and then dye it white to get it properly white. warning tho your hair will be really really dry and fluffy!!

Won't it look crap when the roots come through?, and won't it just look crap anyway, because your natural coluring, I would assume just wouldn't suit the shade?
