My parents live abroad & we are going to meet up in the Midlands in August, preferably Warwick. Neither of us have ever been to Warwick before, can anybody suggest a meeting place (which isn't the Castle)?

Warwick services (M40)? Not even sure how close that is to Warwick to be honest.
Warwicks a bit crowded, awkward with one way streets, and can be hard to find a place to park. But the castle is worth seeing.

For a meeting place I don't think you can beat the Hilton Warwick, on the outskirts of Warwick at Junction 15 of the M40 in the triangle between A46 and A429 as they join the roundabout motorway junction. You have a place to park, and whoever gets there first can wait in the hotel coffee shop.

the Vine or the Tudor House at Westgate (on Stratford Rd turning off the M40) are two nice pubs; the Fourpenny Shop around the corner is renowned for real ale and you could park in the racecourse car park nearby. Parking in the market suare is difficult. Not much in Warwick apart from estate agents and antique shops.
