Male Variety Hall duo from the Sixties

Does anyone remember the names of variety act comprises of two males one sitting at a grand piano, the other stood beside. Both dressed in the evening dress and performed short, rhyming songs, in a very posh educated manner

It sounds like The Western Brothers George and Kenneth (who were actually cousins)although I'm not sure their act was still around in the Sixties.

I think it sounds more like Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, famous for their songs 'Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud' and 'The Gnu Song'. Comedy from a more innocent age.

It does sound Flanders and Swannesque, though Michael Flanders was wheelchair-bound, so that may become a factor in Bun's

I think it sounds like Hinge and Brackett (not sure about the spelling. They wore pearls and very fancy clothes.

yup, but hinge and bracket dressed as women. there was also a duo called kit and the widow...excuse lower case i am typing one handed
