does anyone know of any great wedding venues for both civil ceremonies and receptions somewhere between london and brighton e.g. sussex?

I believe that the Royal Pavilion in Brighton does both, although I expect it would cost an arm & a leg.

these two. If you phone Crawley Register Office [438341] they'll put a list of venues in the post that you can marry in & stay there for the weding breakfast. Brighton pier is also available. If you type weddings in sussex / kent on MSN search & find the exact phrase in advanced search you'll get pictures too.
www.confetti.co.uk is a really good site for everything to do with weddings and it has a list of all places licensed to hold weddings
I also suggest trying a good newsagent to see if they have a "guide to wedding venues" or similar. You should find it with the glossy magazines.

thanks everyone for all your ideas - i'm chasing them all up!
Also try Amberley castle - that's where I'm looking for my wedding. There are loads of wensites that list different venues according to location - just try typing in "wedding organiser" in google or somthing.
